Cute Fairy Cards..One Stamp two ways

Hi Sin City Friends! It's Jenn here today! I want to share two whimsical fairy cards I created using Sin City Stamps!
For this project One stamp was used two ways to create two completely different looks! The stamp used is from the Anime Fairies & Baby Dragons set.
Other products used:
Chalk ink stamps
paper flowers
script stamp
cardstock in various colors
black blank cards and envelopes
bling stones
watercolor pencils
shimmery spray ink (used instead of water)
clear embossing powder
For this set of cards I used the little fairy once and then watercolored it in. The other was stamped over a script stamp. The fairy stamp was stamped using three different inks. The wings were stamped with chalk ink in Spring Pansy. The body was done in chalk ink in Turquoise Gem.The upper body and hair was also a chalk ink in Sycamore Green. Both were stamped on white watercolor paper.
A script stamp and black archival ink were stamped over the fairy. Be sure that your chalk ink is completely dry before this step to prevent any smudging. Cut off as much excess as you like from around the outside. Distress around edges with a distressing tool. Use chalk ink again around edges in the same colors used for fairy.

Next use the same script stamp on a piece of colored cardstock (green for this project). Choose two other colors of cardstock for layering that coordinate with your stamped image and one another. Cut each a bit larger and then stack together using sticky tape or a tape runner.
Then adhere the stack to either black cardstock cut to size or use a premade blank card as I did.
Add a sentiment stamp and some paper flowers plus a little bling. I also used the envelope and stamped the same fairy image and sentiment.
For the water colored version, the same steps are used with the added step of water coloring your stamped image. Also the black card was stamped with the script stamp as a background using the same chalk inks.
And there you have it! A lovely set of cards to show how one stamp can be used two different ways to create two looks. Of course there are endless possibilities in the world of stamping! these are just two of my favorites! I hope you enjoyed this project and tutorial! as always thank you for your support of Sin City Stamps!
I will be here again soon with more fun projects!! For more inspiration visit our fan page here!.

Just Us 2 - Congratulations Card

Hey Ladies,
Come along as I show you how to use a lovely lacy background stamp and a stencil to create an original embellishment. My stencil was not bought but was actually an image cut by an electronic die cutting machine.  Usually, one keeps the silhouette and throws away the exterior frame so keep this technique in mind next time you use your cutter.

1. Art Journaling #2 Rubber Stamp Set (Sin City Stamps)
2. 5x7" card base
3. clear acrylic mounting block
4. black & pink ink pads
5. stencil
6. white, pink. & black cardstock
7. bracket frame die & die cutting machine
8. small heart & number two
9.  1" circle punch
10. pink glitter glue
11. pink heart gems
12. black mini gems

1. To create the background, load the stamp with pink ink.  Re-ink the stamp, carefully align the image, and stamp.  Repeat this process until the entire piece of cardstock has been covered.

2.  Secure the stencil to white cardstock with temporary adhesive.  Use black ink to load the stamp and place over the stencil applying firm pressure. Re-ink the stamp, carefully align the image, and stamp.  Repeat this process until the entire stencil opening has been covered. Remove the stencil and cut out the design.

3.  Use a die cutting machine to cut a bracket edge matting of white cardstock and a larger matte of black cardstock.  Layer the mattes centered on the upper portion of the background but do not adhere them yet.

4. Stamp the sentiment with black ink on the upper left corner of the white matte.  Attach the stenciled image using dimensional foam tape on the right side of the matte.  Next, matte the stamped pink background with a narrow border of white cardstock and adhere it to a pink card base.

5. In order to create flourishes that will appear to emerge from underneath the matte,
use a pencil to mark the corners of the position of the topper on the card front.  Then remove the topper temporarily in order to stamp flourishes.  Use black ink to stamp flourishes in the upper right corner and lower left corner. Finally, adhere the topper to the cardbase.

6. Attach a number two to a 1" black circle and adhere it under the sentiment with dimensional foam tape.  Lastly, apply glitter glue over the number two.

7.  Adhere a scattering of pink heart gems down the left side.  Create a necklace on the silhouette by adding a row of black gems.  Finally, adhere a small pink heart onto the mother's tummy.

Alice in Wonderland Tag

Hi Chris here and today I am excited to share this tag I created for Sin City Stamps.
To recreate this tag you will need the following:

A large tag
Archival Ink - Black, Red
Embossing Ink
Embossing Powder
Spray Ink
Cardstock - Cream, Teal
Film Strip
Fibers, Flowers, Ribbons

Step 1:

Stamp Diamond background from Sin City Stamps Classic Spark Stamp Set  onto Tag with red Archival Ink.
Step 2:
Stamp Heart from Sin City Stamps Alice in Wonderland Characters Set 1 with embossing ink randomly over tag. Heat emboss with embossing powder.

 Step 3:

Spray ink onto craft mat and drag tag through the ink.

Because the hearts are embossed the ink will wipe right off the tag!

Step 4:

Stamp "Alice in Wonderland" from Sin City Stamps Alice in Wonderland Characters Set 2  onto tag.
To stamp the words separately, ink each word separately.
Step 5:
Stamp Alice from Sin City Stamps Alice in Wonderland Characters Set 1  onto cream cardstock.  Fussy cut image and color.

Step 6:
Add Alice to tag. Mat tag onto teal cardstock.  Finish tag by adding film strip and ribbons and flowers.

Vintage Inspired Tags - Quick Idea's

Sin City stamp sets used : Correspondence and Background grunge art

I have handcut the tag shapes (they are not perfect but that's ok) Next used the back ground crackle stamp and used distress on the tag as a first layer.

Next I used black ink to stamp the pen nibs and use the mesh background stamp for the 2nd layer.

I stamped the label on another piece of paper and used a mask and distress to give it some color and add a flourish stamp to the background.

Attached it to the tag using foam tape, and stamped the sentiment and put it on the tag.
 here some close up pictures

For next tag I used the same stamp sets  Correspondence and Background grunge art, and also distress ink and black stamp ink.
